Wetland Restoration Day

The image features the logo for "New Leaf Collaborative," incorporating leaves and a water droplet in its design.

Join Mt. View Sanitary District and New Leaf Collaborative for Wetland Restoration Day, Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 9am-11am at 3800 Arthur Road in Martinez.

This Meet Me Martinez! event is a hands-on day in the wetland as we work together to restore this important habitat, Moorhen Marsh, a part of the MVSD wastewater treatment facility.

A close-up of a round green flower bud with yellow petals emerging from its base, set against a blurred green background.

Participants will help remove invasive plants, make space for new growth, and plant species that support a healthy ecosystem.

  • Learn about California Sneezeweed (Helenium puberulum)
  • Help restore the Moorhen Marsh
  • Create a nature-inspired art project
  • Plant and take home your own sneezeweed

Come get your hands dirty, learn something new, and help our wetland thrive!

All ages welcome—no experience needed. Space is limited.

To participate,

  • Complete the form below for each participant
  • Download the MVSD Liability Release Form, complete it and either bring it with you on the day of the event or email it prior to May 22nd.
