Craig Shields is a Grade 2 Plant Operator and joined the Mt. View Sanitary District team in January 2022. His role at the District includes monitoring plant operations and processes and performing preventive maintenance on the collection system and treatment plant equipment.
Craig has over 17 years of experience and went into the industry right out of high school. Before MVSD, he worked at Veolia Water, Sewer Agency of South Marin, Hidden Valley Lake CSD, and Lake County Special Districts. Craig is a second-generation operator; his father has been an operator for over 25 years. “He used to bring me to the treatment plant with him when I was young to do his weekend rounds. Ever since then, I always wanted to become an operator and help the community.”
Like Craig, the MVSD team is proud to serve our community. Welcome, Craig!
