Did you know that Mt. Diablo Bird Alliance (MDBA) brings several field trips out to McNabney and Moorhen Marshes every year? MDBA is committed to the sustainable balance of our community’s people, birds, other wildlife, and habitat through conservation, education, and advocacy. This chapter serves central and eastern Contra Costa County where roughly 350 species of birds have been spotted. Field trips to McNabney and Moorhen are held in early spring and late fall and all levels of birders are welcome.
